Aloha!

Aloha! We just got back from Kauai, Hawaii. It was absolutely beautiful! Addaly absolutely love it! She loved being able to "go surfing" at the beach and then go hop right in the swimming pool after! She loved seeing all the geckos everywhere and swimming with the little fish in the ocean!
We went to see Waimea Canyon, that was so beautiful! Although it made me a little nervous with how high we were! I have this issue with heights!! We rode in a canoe in the Wailua river up to the Fern Grotto. We saw 2 amazing waterfalls and the Spouting Horn.
It was so nice just to relax and hit the beach! Doug, Trent and I went boogie boarding. I was OK until I was ridding a wave in, looked up and realized I was ridding the wave with a turtle! So after the fact it was really cool, but while it was happening I freaked out and went under!
Doug and I went snorkeling. I was so excited until i put the snorkel on, went under the water and got a huge mouthful of water! Yep Addaly had been playing with the snorkel earlier and had taken out the plug! Doug was able to see amazing fish while I was choking up above the water! I guess I'm just meant to sit up on the beach and soak in the sun!
We had an amazing time! Thanks Dirk, Jackie and Trent! We had a blast!
(She was so excited to go to Hawaii! Waiting at the airport princess style!) (Doug entertaining Addaly on the long plane ride with his amazing skills!)

(Getting ready to ride the canoe. She was so excited!)

(Addaly loved the beach! Especially because there was a playground on the beach!)

(We ate shaved ice almost everyday! It's pretty much the bomb!)

(Addaly and her new Hawaiian baby! She named her Hattie!)

Lets Play Dress Up!

Addaly cracks me up everyday! Everyday she has to dress up in some way! Whether it is with a hat and Doug's shoes, tutu, or her barbie dress. She loves to pretend all day long! She tells me all the time she wants to be a Princess when she grows up! It just depends on the day of which one that would be. She and I watch the Price is Right in the morning, because she thinks the ladies on it are beautiful princess's! She thinks that every little girl or women in a dress is a princess! The other day we went to Chic fil-a and there were 2 little girls dressed up in princess dresses. She was so excited, she kept trying to play with them. At one point she came out of the play place disappointed cause they wouldn't dance like princess with her! She is definitely a girlie girl and I wouldn't change it for anything! I love my little Doodle-Bug!

Pledge of Allegiance

I have to say we're so proud of our patriotic little girl! She thinks that the American flag is so amazing! Every time we pass one she gets so excited! She loves the way it flies so high, the colors and it that it has "twinkle stars" on it! I thought it so appropriate to teach her the pledge of allegiance! It it so cute how she knows every word and says it past every flag we pass!

I knew it at a small age and would say it every time I saw one. At the age of 4 I was riding in the car with my Grandma Norma. We were driving from Bountiful to Salt Lake. I rehearsed it 25 times on the way there and back. I'm sure Grandma was so glad for that ride to be over!

Addaly has made us all so proud! We love this little girl so much!
