Merry Christmas

This Christmas season was so much fun! Addaly was so excited for all of the fun activities and of course the presents!! We had lots of visiting with fun friends and family! Doug and I used the whole Santa thing to our advantage! That was so fun! mwhahaha! It made for a really good listening 2 year old!

I went with Shell and her family to the festival of trees. It was the first time in years that I have been. Addaly loved all the tress with the princess's on them! It was the first time this season that she got to see Santa Claus. She was so excited for the moments leading up to seeing him, but when the time came and she realized that Santa was an old man she panicked a little! She wouldn't sit on his lap. I had to first, then she sat on my lap. (poor poor Santa!) I told her she had to tell Santa what she wanted she was hyperventilating and told him I want kitchens, barbies and presents! When we walked away she acted like nothing happened and she was no longer scarred. She looked and me and said "he didn't even say HO HO HO!" oh that kid cracks me up!

We went with Jackie and Dirk to see the Temple lights. Addaly liked them, but was a little more excited to ride the train (trax). We drove down there with Jackie and Dirk and then rode back half way on trax. Were were supposed to stop on 2100 south, but Addaly kept saying one more time. I think she loved the fact that she didn't have to be in a car seat!

Addaly and I decorated our gingerbread house. While I would have to say that I think I'm super crafty, I can't build a gingerbread house!! Poor thing was falling apart! Not to mention trying to build a house with candy, cookies and a 2 year old is a little difficult!! Addaly wanted to eat everything, hence the reason there is nothing on the sides of our house!

Doug and I took Addaly to the zoo lights. She thought that they were so cool. She had so much fun riding the carousal and seeing the few animals that were out. FYI it's the best time to see the lions! this is the only time we have seen them up close and active!

Christmas eve we had the Rowberry Christmas party. Addaly was able to play with her little cousin Bella. She had so much fun. My Mom made the mistake of showing her where all of her presents were. She wanted to open them all night!

Christmas day was fabulous!! We stayed home all day! Addaly was able to play with all of her new toys and we were able to relax!

Doug and I were so excited for Addaly on Christmas morning we could hardly sleep! Doug kept waking up and would say can we wake her up? it was like 5:30 am!! When Addaly did wake up she was so excited! We told her we were going to go up stairs and see what Santa brought her! She got up stairs and was a little disappointed that Santa wasn't actually here!!

Jackie, Dirk, and Trent came and had breakfast with us. Addaly was so so excited that there were more presents! She didn't care that they all weren't hers, she just loved the fact that they were wrapped and she could help open them! Thanks Grandma Jackie for all the great gifts!! (mine especially!!)

My Mom, Dad, brothers, Grandma and Grandpa Moffat came over for dinner. The food was fabulous and it was so fun just to hang out and visit! Then along with all of them came more presents for Addaly to open! Man was she spoiled! I'm not sure where we are going to put all of the stuff!

Thanks to our families we had a stress free fabulous day!

(Dirk and Trent watching Annie! Dirk looks a little concerned, it's ok Dirk the sun will come out tomorrow!)

(Addaly and Grandma Jackie watching the movie)

(Addaly's new kitchen. So so cute! She has better appliances then I do!)

(Visiting Grandma Tulla in the rehab center. She had a stroke 2 weeks before Christmas. Addaly is her favorite, and she will admit it! We hope she gets to come home soon!)

Extreme Make Over, Puppy Edition!

Poor Poor Edna was looking pretty mangy! So Addaly and I gave her a little make over! We shampooed and conditioned, trimmed her little hair and topped it off with this pink little pony tail! Addaly kept saying "she feels so much better!" I think that we will keep little Miss Edna Maxine around for awhile!

Princess on Ice

Last night we took Addaly to the Disney Princesses on Ice. She was so excited for days leading up to the show. We kept asking her where we were going and she would say Disney Land! My Mom took her earlier in the day to pick out this cute little Cinderella dress. She was so excited! She kept saying that she was singing and dancing like a princess! She loved the show, but was a little disappointed that she couldn't go down and dance on the ice with the princesses! I am so glad that she had so much fun! I can't wait to see her at Disney Land in march! She is going to love it!

Help Me Help Me!

So I have to begin by saying how much I love this little girl! How much happiness, laughter and spunk she brings into our lives!
She has been cracking us up lately with the things she has been saying! Doug and I are constantly looking at each other in shock thinking did she really just say that! She is so smart and is learning new things like crazy! She loves to repeat her numbers from 1-10 in Spanish, saying the Pledge of Allegiance every time we pass the American Flag, or dancing to "Addaly Doodles song " Poker Face.
The other day we were riding in the car which felt like forever. It was dark out side and Doug and I were in the front seats. We thought Addaly had fallen asleep. All of a sudden we hear "help me help me, I'm getting really tired!" That same day she was at Grandma Jackie's playing out in the yard while everyone was doing yard work. She went inside knowing Uncle Dirk was there. She couldn't see or hear him, she started to cry and said "Uncle Dirk I don't know where you are, but I really need you right now"
We have these conversations with her everyday and have to just hug and smother her with kisses! We love this little doodle bug so much!!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and I think it is Addaly's as well (at least until Christmas comes) We had so much fun this month!
Addaly had so much fun at the pumpkin patch! She kept saying "I want a baby one" so that's what we did. She packed that pumpkin around for days.
We went with Shell, Shane and the kiddos to Gardner Village to see the witches. The kids had so much fun running around and getting cookies and milk at the bakery.
Addaly had her very first Halloween Party. (I'll have to post pics later) She was so excited for weeks before the party. She helped me make decorations and all of the treats! She had so much fun playing with all of her cousins and friends! They decorated sugar cookies and pumpkins, and ate lots of spooky treats!
Last but not least on Halloween day Doug's work had a trunk or treat in the morning. That's where Addaly found her love for trick or treating!! She made a cute little friend named McKenzie. They made sure they got to every car and danced to the monster mash! Later that night we went trick or treating at both Grandparents neighborhoods. Addaly didn't want to come in! She kept telling us "one more door?"
We had so much fun! I can't wait until next year!
