Merry Christmas!

We had so much fun this Christmas season! It was so fun with Addy! I think that she loved everything about the whole season! She loves the schnow (snow) , Christmas lights, frosting cookies, and definitely opening Christmas presents! There sure wasn't a shortage of presents! She was spoiled by everyone especially her Grandparents! Christmas was great! Jackie, Dirk and Trent were able to come over in the morning and eat breakfast with us. We watched "Ables" (Incredibles Addy's new favorite movie for now) , played with Addy and her new toys. We went to My Mom and Dads for a yummy dinner and played games! Rachel and I got together to bake some good treats. The girls were able to help decorate the sugar cookies. OK Addy spilled the entire bottle of sprinkles all over the table and Ellie just ate the cookies. They had a blast! Our Christmas Tree even survived the holidays with an 18 month old! Thanks to our great Family and Friends Christmas was so much fun!!!

Gingerbread House....

I thought I had this great idea to decorate a gingerbread house. I always wanted to do one, but never have. Well lets just say that it is harder then it looks! Especially when you have the cookie monster as your side kick! Yeah that's right Addy thought that she need to take a bite of the gingerbread man, and if that wasn't enough she took a bite out of frosty! If you look closely at some of the nini (candy) you can tell Addy had some of it in her mouth! I know it's gross, but too cute! She had a blast!

Light Parade

So every year the weekend of Thanksgiving we go up to Star Valley to visit Doug's family and watch the light parade. Despite the fact that it is totally freezing we have a blast! The parade is so small that you watch it go down one side of the road and then come back down the other side. Addy was especially happy because they threw nini (candy).

Totally Random....

So this is totally random. I was downloading pictures on the computer. I came across some pictures of Addy from this time last year. I can't believe how fast time has gone and how big she is getting!!! I always knew that being a Mom would be the best thing, but it has far surpassed that!!! She is so much fun and such a little ball of spunky attitude! I love watching her grow and learn new things! I love to play with her and read pinkalicious (her favorite book that finds it's way behind the couch when Doug and have read it 20 times in one day) I love to sit her on the counter while I cook. I just love everything about my little Doodle Bug!!

San Fran!!!

Shell and I went to San Francisco and we had a blast!!!! We saw everything. The weather was pretty much awful the whole time, but we did not let that stop us from seeing everything that we wanted to see!!! We were pretty much the welcoming committee!!! We made friends with the locals who hooked us up with some pretty sweet discounts! We did everything from riding the cable cars, seeing the Golden Gate, Alcatraz (probably one of the neatest things that I have ever seen!), The Wax Museum, Fisherman's Wharf, China Town (I am not sure that I would ever do that again) and Ghiradelli square. Shell ran the half marathon. I was so proud! She did great!! The two of us had so much fun!

Halloween

So Halloween is my most favorite holiday. We had lots of fun with it this year. Especially since Addy could join in this years festivities!! She was the cutest fairy ever! We had lots of fun this October. We went to wheeler farm with Rach and Ellie the cutest little bumblebee, we went to witches night out (that was a blast!! next year I am totally dressing up!) and took Addaly trick of treating to a couple of places. My Mom surprised me at work with her wrestling costume. I think that I am still surprised when I look at the pictures!

Dip?

So this started out like any usual lunch with Addaly. She loves "dip" . It doesn't matter what kind of "dip" she eats or what she is dipping for that matter. She started to just to dip her nuggets, then it ended in a huge mess! She thought that it was hilarious that she had finger painted her BBQ sauce all over her highchair and then her self. It didn't help that Doug was egging her on! I think that day she figured out how she could make such a mess and get out of trouble by looking so dang sweet!

Hello,

As many of you may know my name is Doug, I am the husband and father in this little equation, that Katie has going on. There is not much to know about me, I am very family oriented my wife and daughter are my world, I will do any thing for my girls I guess you could say I am whipped. Katie and I are about to celebrate our 5th anniversary, to me this is nuts I cant believe it has been five years it seems like yesterday I was watching her walk down the isle thinking WOW she is the most beautiful girl in the world. The last five years have been GREAT and I would not change one thing about them, I love my wife she is an amazing wife and an even better mother, Addy and I are so lucky to have her in our life's.

Now on to my little PRINCESS, Addaly, she is so amazing I never thought being a dad would be so much fun. I love her to death she has done so many great things for me and my family (Katie), I never thought I could care so much for a baby but the first time I saw her my heart melted. I cant wait to have more additions to our family, I think at this point we are going for four kids, but Katie has expressed a desire to have eight, but I don't think so. The most amazing thing about Addaly is her attitude, she can make anyone fall in love with her and at the same time if she wants something she will let you know it. But as I have said I would not change a thing about her, it may be a little bi est being I am her dad and all but she is the cutest baby I have ever seen and is the smartest as well.

Well I guess I better get back to work, if I don't bring home a check Katie beats me.

Vacation

We just got back from a great vacation with Doug's family. It was a blast! We went to South Carolina. I could not believe how beautiful it was there. Addaly loved the beach and especially eating the sand! It was so nice just to be able to leave our hotel and walk right on the beach. It was nice just to relax all day. It was a much needed vacation for Doug and I! After spending a couple of days on the beach we went to Daufuskie Island. That was so much fun. We rode golf carts everywhere and had a blast. Addaly really liked it because there was no car seat for 3 days!

Our Little Family

Doug and I decided to start this blog so that we could stay in touch with our family and friends. Oh yeah and because my BFF said that we needed to have one (love ya shell!). We have been married for 5 years and have a one year old little girl, Addaly. She is the cutest, spunkiest little girl ever! She definitely keeps us on our feet! We both come from great families that we are close with.
