A new girl!

(finally falling asleep after a long day!)
(Versaid starting to work!)

(just checked in)

(Ok so not so flattering pic of me and doesn't really do justice for how hilarious she was being!)

Addaly's procedure went fabulous! It was quick and painless! After we got to the surgical center and got checked in is when the fun began! They gave her some versaid so she wasn't so nervous! That was some crazy stuff! She was acting so crazy, Doug and I laughed so hard we were crying! She kept laughing hysterically, tried to grab stuff out of the air that wasn't there, and tried to talk but was slurring her words so bad we couldn't understand her at all! I'm sure the surgical staff thought we were a little immature laughing so hard, but it was hilarious! The actual procedure was done in about 25 minutes. Doug and I were sitting in the waiting room and we heard a loud scream. We looked at each other and figured it wasn't our little Doodle Bug. They had told us earlier that she would be back for at least an hour and a half. They would give her time to wake up out of the anesthesia, but that wasn't the case with out little girl! The screaming was in fact Addaly. She skipped all of the stages of waking up from anesthesia and was really irritable and screaming! The whole ride home she was an unhappy camper and in a really sad quivering voice asked "why did they have to put tubes in my ears?!" The tubes haven't bothered her one bit! She is just so tender hearted that it hurt her feelings! She took a little nap and has been back to her normal self! The dr. told us she would be a new girl! No more ear infections! Which makes for a happy little girl and happy parents!

It's about time!

I normally wouldn't be happy about an elective surgery, but in this case I am! My poor Addaly Doodle had suffered from ear infections in what seems like forever! This year has been especially worse. She has had one at least every other month or even 2 in one month! We go through the same routine every time she gets one. There's never really a fever and she'll play pretty good all day, It's the night time that's the worst! She wakes up in the middle of the night and can't sleep! She insists on coming up stairs to watch a movie. The good thing I guess is that now she's old enough to tell me that her ears hurt. So were able to give her motrin and the amazing ear drops! She goes in tomorrow to have tubes put in her ears. Although I'm happy that she will not have to suffer from ear infections anymore, I am a little nervous for the whole process! The procedure its self is doesn't take anytime and it won't be painful to her. It's the putting to sleep thing that has me nervous! I have never felt good about being put out. It took me 5 years to get my wisdom teeth out for that very reason. I know that she is in fabulous hands and they will take such good care of my doodles. I am so thankful that Addaly is a healthy kid and has never had any serious health problems. Good luck Doodle Bug! We love you tons! You will do fabulous!

What a fun filled weekend!

(Love this outfit. I'm thinking of getting me one!)

(Cute kids Addy, Marley & Kaylee)

(Clementine anyone?)

(pooped after a fun long day at "Nagoon")

This last weekend Addaly and I had a blast! Thanks to our fabulous family and friends! (Doug had his own fun going to the Salt Flats with my Dad and brothers) We went to the county fair on Saturday. The kids loved it! There was a petting zoo with all sorts of animals. There was a camel, bunnies, tons of goats, pony, donkey, turtle and I'm sure a few others. The kids were able to feed them carrots. The poor little kids found out the hard way that they had to hold their cups up! The goats would jump up on them and take their whole cup of carrots!
On Sunday we went to "Naggon" as Addaly calls it. Every time the commercial comes on for Lagoon she says " we want to go there huh?!" Since the boys were all out of town and Aubrey got us discount tickets it was the perfect time to go! She pretty much loved all of the rides, except the tilt o whirl. She said that one made her "bizzy"! She had a blast running riding the rides and running around with all of the kids!
Thanks to our fabulous friends. This weekend was a blast!

Update on IVF Cycle #1

So we have been on an emotional roller coaster the last couple of weeks! We had two embryos put in on June 15th. The embryos couldn't have looked any better! On the scale that they are graded one was a 8 cell excellent and the other 8 cell good plus. So instead of doing a day 5 transfer they transferred on day 3. We had 9 more embryos that they were going to grow out until day 5 to see if the would hopefully grow normally and we would have some to freeze. That wasn't the case. For some reason the other 9 didn't make it. While we were a little upset about that news we were still optimistic about the 2 fabulous looking ones that were transferred. One week after the transfer I started to bleed. I called the nurse who told me that bleeding was never a good thing, but there was nothing we could do until 2 weeks after the transfer (this was probably the longest week of my life) I felt so down and just thought how hard this has been and thinking about having to do it all over again! I went in for and HCG blood test that surprisingly came back positive. I was in complete shock! Doug and I were so excited, but still baffled by the bleeding. Since I went in for the blood work a day early the nurse wanted to give it a couple of days and draw my HCG again to make sure that the levels were going up. Indeed the were. That was reassuring. Making us feel a little more at ease. Until yesterday I started to bleed again. I knew this time that this wasn't right and something was definitely wrong. I went in again today for what would have been my 6 week ultrasound, and there was no longer anything there. For some reason the baby stopped growing. It was so hard being in the office while everybody was telling us how sorry they were. I know that their apologies are sincere. It just wasn't the news we were planning on hearing. We have talked about it and are planning on doing another cycle. It should start sometime in September. Please keep us in your prayers. We would love nothing more then to hold a little baby in our arms!

We had a blast this 4th of July! It is my second favorite holiday! Because the 4th fell on Sunday we were able to celebrate it all weekend! We started off our festivities on Friday night. We camped out for the Murray parade. It was so fun! The kids had a blast! They watched movies ate lots and lots of treats and ran around like hooligans! Us adults visited and had a blast! The parade was so much fun and the kids got lots of candy! Later in the day it was the twins Abi and Ali's 4th birthday party. We headed back to Murray Park and celebrated with them! We BBQ'd with my family and back to our house to watch the fireworks and eat root beer floats!
The weekend was such a blast! We shared it with fabulous friends and family! Bring on the Days of 47 parade and camping out!

We had Addaly's "Friend" Birthday party last week and it was such a blast! The kids ran through the slip and slide ( some of them were too small to get it, so good thing Doug was there to show them how it was done!) played in the sprinkler toy, hit the pinata, and eat Addaly's favorite dinner "sloppy Joseph's" She was spoiled yet again! She has enough princess stuff to supply a small store! Thanks so much to all of our fabulous friends and family for coming to celebrate with us!
